Speed Slab is an in-situ formwork product, extremely fast to install, that creates the support structure for suspended slabs while delivering substantial acoustic and thermal insulation performance that conventional formwork simply can't match.

How it works
Panels measuring 6.0m x 600mm x 250mm thick, made of polystyrene with two metal Z-sections inserted, support both the poured concrete and the workers walking on it during the pour. Sections lock together with a tongue-and-groove design, and typically only two people are required to complete most installations.
Left in place — by design
Unlike conventional formwork, the polystyrene Speed Slab panel is not removed after the pour — it's left in place permanently. That means no stripping of timber or plywood formwork, which in turn delivers meaningfully better acoustic and thermal insulation to the finished floor.
Fewer props, less labour
Because the sections are very light and self-supporting between props, the number of props required is reduced significantly compared to conventional systems — cutting both installation time and labour cost by as much as 60%.
